Question regarding KK acquired from moving through the 7 seas

If I got Koikatsu through fitgirl Do I still have to put in the HFpatch. If I don't need to, how do I update it?

Based on what I understand, fitgirl does provide the full Koikatsu game + DLC's, and some of the mods needed for general uses, HFpatch however, is massive mod/upgrade pack for the game. HF patch provides you with most of the necessary basic mods needed for char creation and studio use. It is generally recommended to install the HF patch for ur game and download the studio modpack as well.

However if you choose not to do so, I guess you can update the mods using KK Manager.
