I may need to either upgrade to 11 soon or go to Linux. Will Koikatsu work on either OS?

Thank you so much for the reply. I'm glad that it works on both. I was afraid of switching from 10 but thank you for helping my decision.

also make sure to paste "WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winhttp=n,b" %command%" in your steam launch option if you are using better repack in linux, and use proton experimental

I can confirm this from personal experience.

I recently had the opportunity test Windows 11.

Two days later, I had the first update. After the update, the game crashed so badly that I had to delete it and re-download it from my private archive.

lucky becaus, which didn't actually damage the character card, but it did mess up something in the game files, causing me to get an error when trying to launch the game, which prevented the game from starting.

I just don't know what was the cause, whether it was the update or the automatic disk scan and fix that is performed after updates in this fucked up system created by coding amateurs.

This system is so ridiculous that you can't even disable updates permanently, only for a specific period. So my only advice is to make sure you don't download any updates, because one will fix something and cause twice as many problems. Alternatively, run away to 10-7.
because paradoxaly, they are already safer and more optimized and stable.

Anyway
I've been using Windows since the days of CRT monitors, when several dozen megabytes of RAM were considered aristocracy.

No Windows system has ever been such a problematic mess.

I imagine a situation where someone is working at home on a computer on projects, Windows is screwing everything up, and you explain to your boss at work that Windows gona fuck everything, because it has been updated.(facepalm)
Seriously this is the only situation in which any windows has fucked up my fucking game.
Generally, every second generation of Windows sucks.
Where all this shit is based on old spaghetti code.
They mass-produce it to profit from people's ignorance.
We might as well be sitting on old systems today if this entire industry were to piggyback on newer components and adapt them to older systems.
In general, this whole evolution is some kind of mental regression, just look at browsers, Google Chrome used to be a role model, today it's such crap that I wonder if Edge wouldn't be even better XD
It's better not to even talk about the gaming industry.
Even I avoid YouTube itself from a mile away because it's a fucking sewer for animals.
Etc, etc, etc.

Btw funfact
The best thing about all this is that even the people responsible for the system are aware of this, they recently announced recommendations for people to disable system updates on their computers privately if someone is working on any projects because they may lose them XXDDDfbhhbbnb
This is some fucking cabaret, people are paying for this crap, they should be paying us for this fucking experiment on society. XXDDGbnhh

Anyway
Sometimes I think about switching to Linux, I've read a lot of positive things, but apparently there would be a problem with Photoshop, if I remember correctly, and I use it every day.
Well, if this is what the future looks like, it's high time for a penguin.

unironically it was auto update that made me switch to linux, and l had win10 installed before, l can't imagine the humilation ritual to use win11 daily

I'm not one of those people who links to someone because they need 100% proof of their statements' accuracy these days. I read an article about it, but I don't even remember where.

I don't even want to search for links; I don't even care if anyone believes it or not.

The reviews on Windows aren't positive, and it only took me two days to find out for myself.
Windows systems are generally problematic every secondary generation. So the lack of a disable actualization pernamently, something that most influences the definition of these words, is uncomfortable.

I can only add that I learned from the same article that they plan to introduce the option to permanently disable updates.

In general, I'm not surprised at you, I'm also very annoyed by the lack of the option to disable updates, I remember even on 10 that I was afraid every update would screw up my system and end up with a format.
Actually 10 was also problematic after the release for a long period, only after years the system was stable.
But she didn't interfere with my files to which she shouldn't have the rights to exist.

Anyway
Generally speaking, all these security myths are nonsense becaus this is a business. You can sit back and feel safe with a 10-7 etc.
The first thing I do for ages is disable my antivirus, and installing an ad blocker.
I've been using computers without any external bullshit antivirus for years, I practically never get viruses, and if someone wanted to hack me or steal my data, they would do it anyway.(We publish data on a daily basis anyway, all you need to do is use the internet.)
But who cares about random anonymous users ? xD
Unless someone is stupid enough to visit some suspicious websites that are full of crap from a mile away just by the name.
Or downloads and instal unindicated crap files that, horror of horrors, have .exe files when they shouldn't.
Or installing DLL system files from suspicious sources.
Or possibly opening suspicious emails that are not directed at what a given person does on a daily basis.
Etc, etc, etc.
Even anti-piracy protection is harmful to original game owners, paradoxically not to pirates, and the bullshit is break by people after just a few days.

No problemo, these 5 lines I was just explaining it in case.

I think it's just a my habit. For the past few years, there's been a plague of people requiring links for authentication, so much so that even black is black.
I simply always assume in such situations that someone might be one of those people who thinks I serve as a briefcase with internet documentation xD
