How do u search up in pixiv like that?, whenever i try i just get random bullshit
Pixiv has somewhat decent filtering, but poorly tagging, also has somewhat limitations annoying to work with:
キャラ配布(コイカツ):
https://www.pixiv.net/en/tags/キャラ配布(コイカツ)/artworks Performing that search will take you directly to pixiv キャラ配布 (Koikatsu), which will contain content specifically tagged with that term. There are ways to search for characters, sagas, or specific themes, using two different methods; the first is the typical one: tag + element to search for, on this example I will use Asuna from Blue Archive:
キャラ配布(コイカツ) 一之瀬アスナ:
https://www.pixiv.net/en/tags/キャラ配布(コイカツ) 一之瀬アスナ/artworks?s_mode=s_tag This search is special, will add a "?s_mode=s_tag" at the end of the URL, that string stands for "partial match", this action only occurs when there are two or more items being searched for, allowing you to search for items in a more open-ended way.
Great, now what?
You can try add more elements to expand your searches and be able to find more asuna versions.
For example, Asuna Bunny version: 一之瀬アスナ(バニーガール) and regular version: 一之瀬アスナ. If we add them together we will have something like this: 一之瀬アスナ(バニーガール) 一之瀬アスナ.
You may find weird that, if you do this search:
キャラ配布(コイカツ) 一之瀬アスナ(バニーガール) 一之瀬アスナ It will just give basically nothing, this is due to the "complexity" of the search; therefore, it's necessary to specify that you are looking for both, since the search is looking for posts with all three tags, and this is where the second search method comes in:
キャラ配布(コイカツ) (一之瀬アスナ(バニーガール) OR 一之瀬アスナ)
We take the tag we always want to search for
キャラ配布(コイカツ), and to the right of the tag, we enclose the entire search in parentheses. And between each tag we will put an
OR. That is, we are telling pixiv to find us a
The easier way is write the tag directly on the search to use the autofil, hit space, write OR, hit space then next tag and close the parentheses once you have written all the tags. If you find it complex and confusing, you can open
SEARCH OPTION in the center right of the screen, it will open a menu, you only need to click
ADVANCED SETTINGS and writte all tags on
Include any of the keywords, then make sure on
TARGETS you have
TAGS (PARTIAL MATCH), you will end up with the same result as the previous way:
キャラ配布(コイカツ) (一之瀬アスナ(バニーガール) OR 一之瀬アスナ):
https://www.pixiv.net/en/tags/キャラ配布(コイカツ) (一之瀬アスナ(バニーガール) OR 一之瀬アスナ)/artworks?s_mode=s_tag Once you've searched for a couple of things, you'll see that it's not at all cumbersome. Plus, you can use "Title, caption" in targets, negative searches, and so on. I used Asuna as an example because the difference between using only her main tag and using her variants (she has 5 tags) is just a couple more cards so that the example doesn't become too long (and I love Asuna), I hope this helps!
