I get your good intentions but for me personally all your editing just contributes to the clutter and work I have to put on filtering non original duplicates out of my collections. Mainly because your edits have the same name and picture as the originals and there is no way to tell them apart without checking in game or with a dupe finding software.
I would suggest to change the pictures in some way to make it easy to tell they are your edits and not the originals, some of us would appreciate it.
Oh, and I would like more your cards if you showed the actual character on the card picture instead of a screenshot of the anime or AI generated images. Cheers.

yea it only looks on basic stuff and size difference wasnt able to find a software that actually able to detect dupes reliably
i mostly use it on scenes since its safe mostly but cards are a no go unless i try to detect archive level dupes which i compare an archive to another archive

I'm using Duplicate Cleaner Free and it has worked pretty well for exact duplicates (same hash). Theoretically hashing still can produce false positives but it is extremely unlikely with normal use, even for a "weaker" hash like MD5.

I use czkawka, it's very nice, it has several methods you can chose from to detect dupes.wait there is a software to detect dupes of cards?

I don't know about Dupeguru but Duplicate Cleaner compares the files' (MD5) hashes by default, though you can also switch to simpler rules such as only looking at the filename, size or last modified.
As far as I know hashing is the most efficient and plug-and-play way to compare files since in an ideal world there is a perfect one-to-one correlation between input and hash. Even the slightest modification would produce a radically different hash and return negative for dupe checks - though I suppose you already know that if you know Python and programming in general.
Speaking of which, I once built a simple app in Java to scan for duplicate mods with different versions, contents and generally just really poor documentation on the modder's part (for the love of God please change the version number in manifest.xml too on an update). At that point I realized comparing mods/cards/scenes has so many ifs, buts and unlesses that a tailored solution with minimal human input is probably impossible. Best I can do is isolate likely outdated mods in a specific folder then double check before deleting.

While alternating cards' covers shakes time, it is necessary sometimes. For example, the female characters in JMC's card covers seldom dress exposed outfit, which is recognised with a censored warning "adult content".
